Description

Hello everyone,
The Great Orion Nebula is one of the closest star-forming regions to us at a distance of 1600 light years and an extension of 30 light years.

In the bright centre, young, enormously luminous stars are already shining, e.g. one of these stars has 250,000 times the luminosity of our sun and makes the whole nebula shine.

Above the Orion Nebula is a reflection nebula with an embedded emission nebula, whose silhouette shows the "Running Man".

I was able to photograph this fascinating nebula region despite not so ideal conditions on 8.2. 2023 out of the garden in Stade, Lower Saxony Germany - Bortle 5 - ( relatively manageable exposure time of 1 h 40 m), - double would have been better, and disturbing moon influence).
134 x 45 " ( 1 h 40 m)
    Canon EOS 550 Da, Canon L 300 mm @ f 4.0, ISO 1600, Monti: Staradventurer

But this time I am quite satisfied with the result.

Wolfgang
